Did You Know?
|
Ripe
avocado
will keep in the refrigerator for two to three days. In general, you
should
serve avocados as soon as possible after cutting them, because once
avocado
becomes exposed to the air, it will immediately start to turn brown.
Sprinkling
citrus juice or vinegar over it will retard this process. |
|
Fresh
avocados do not freeze well. For best freezing results,
mash, puree or make guacamole with your ripe fruits.
* Select ripe, softened fruit, then peel and
remove
the seed.
* In food processor or with blender puree, mash or
make guacamole.
* Pack into small freezer containers.
Squeeze enough lemon or lime juice to cover the
top to prevent browning.
* Seal container and use within a two months.
