Ingredients:
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
1-1/4 cups butter or
margarine, softened
1 cup icing sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts for garnish
Preparation:
- In a mixer or food processor
cream butter and icing sugar. Add vanilla
and gradually beat in flour and salt.
- Form into dough, wrap and
chill 1/2 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 325 F
(160 C).
- Form into 1 inch (2.5 cm)
balls. Shape balls into 2 inch (5 cm)
long cylinders.
- Place on ungreased baking
sheets and bake one dozen at a time for about
12 to 15 minutes.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Dip ends in melted
semi-sweet chocolate; then in finely chopped
nuts.
Makes 6 dozen cookies.
