Detox – An Easy Way to Supercharge Your Health

We all live in an environment that is full of toxic chemicals. Since there is no way we can avoid them, everyone needs to detox. Repeated colds and flu, digestive ailments, fatigue and skin disorders are usually signs that your body’s waste removal system could use some help.

If you don’t need to be weaned from some hard-core alcohol or drug addiction, you can flush out toxins from your body at home through an intense seven to 21-day regimen that includes avoiding and reducing caffeine, nicotine, sugar, alcohol and drugs. If you are suffering from a chronic health problem, it’s important to have a qualified health professional monitor your progress.

Try some of or all of these:

Consume fresh, whole organic foods, drink only purified water, fresh-squeezed juices and herbal teas. Fresh organic fruits and vegetables contain phytochemicals that help your body to detox naturally. Purified water and fresh-squeezed juices help flush toxins from your body. Herbal teas like spearmint, peppermint or eucalyptus help you to clean mucus, which usually trap bacteria and viruses in your body. Herbal teas also promote urination and elimination of feces.

It is good idea to do colon cleansing. We all know that our bodies are not capable of eliminating all the different toxins and chemicals we inhale and ingest every day. They tend to accumulate in our fat cells, tissues, blood or organs such as colon and liver and may remain stored there causing all kinds of health problems. Colon cleansing is excellent help for whole body, because regular bowel movements help prevent toxins from building up in your digestive tract and lower the risk of toxin accumulation in your body cells.

Try a liquid diet of clear broths, pureed vegetables, purified water and fresh-squeezed juices one day a week. That diet allows the digestive system some relaxing time and prevents it to become overloaded.

Use stress management techniques you like the most (bathing, all-over the body exfoliation, massage etc.) or just relax and meditate at least 10 minutes each day and you’ll be doing your body a huge favor. Don’t say you don’t have time. Stress reduction is as fundamental as eating right and exercising. Weakened immunity is also one of the negative effects of stress.

Exercise regularly every day (jumping rope, walking, biking), because that is a key to disease prevention and boost for your immune system.
